Windows 7 Features
Microsoft Windows 7 would be out in three years time, hopefully. As early as now people are speculating on the features that would be included in the new operating system.
According to reports and analysts, Microsoft may not have a list of features they are planning to include in the operating system and most likely these things would develop in the succeeding months.
I believe these features would be dependent on the overall review and evaluation on Windows Vista plus the changing landscape and future of digital computing. Having said that, I believe Windows 7 would be a combination of a lot of service based applications while still maintaining the essential features in a client side system. The service based applications would have a counterpart offline application in Windows 7.
Below are the things we should be looking at on Windows 7:
1. Service and client side architecture
2. Improved Hardware and performance capabilities
3. Improved collaborative solutions
and as mentioned on PCWorld:
4. Easy Bitlocker technology implementation
5. Hypervisor navigation
6. Touchscreen based navigation
7. Improved desktop search capability integrated in the Windows Server 2008
8. Thin client and improved virtualization
It remains to be seen how powerful and improved Windows 7 is going to be; one thing I am sure is that it ain’t going to be minimal.
