Facebook plans to open Austin office, get your resumes out there

Job hunting? Or you simply want to work at Facebook?

The social networking leader is planning to open a 200 person office in Austin, Texas where the city government has given a $1.4 million dollar incentive to open up shop there. Texas governor Rick Perry is bent on making Austin, Texas a technology hub and an expansion for Facebook outside of Palo Alto, California is a great start for this vision.

Facebook Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg, says that Facebook continues to grow and Austin’s deep talent pool should allow them to hire high-caliber employees.

According to city documents, average employee salary in Facebook is around $54,000 dollars.

Facebook is still in the selection process for their expansion but they are definitely considering Austin given the talent pool and support of the Texas state headed by governor Rick Perry.
