People and ArtWork put in Vista DVDs are for Anti-Piracy Purposes

Microsoft confirmed that the tiny people and art work placed on the DVD of Windows Vista are intended for anti-piracy purposes. Nick White from the Vista team said it made duplication of the DVDs difficult to copy because of these small images.

This reminds me of branded fashion items that has tags and labels embedded on buttons or tiny areas of their products used to determine its authenticity.
