Microsoft’s Massive Reorg continues

Microsoft on Wednesday continues to shuffle more executives by moving senior vice president Orlando Ayala, who oversees sales to small and midsize companies, to oversee emerging market efforts, reporting to Chief Operating Office Kevin Turner.

Eduardo Rosini, the head of Microsoft’s Asia-Pacific unit, will take over Ayala’s role including overseeing Microsoft’s partner network.

Kurt DelBene who is the head of Office Business Platform will see the addition of the development of Dynamics CRM product into it’s unit.

The head of Microsoft’s unified communications effort will be headed by Chris Capossela who currently heads product marketing for Office.

The software giant is also looking for a replacement for MBS head Doug Burgum who is shifting to an evangelist role as chairman of MBS once a replacement is found.

A company who has massive plans of moving over it’s dominant desktop position to web markets is making great strides in it’s organization to support this goal. I just hope they choose the right people for the right job, otherwise they may end up in a ditch.
