Microsoft Windows Vista Encryption

Microsoft Windows Vista encryption has taken another level from its previous version—Windows XP which uses Advanced Encryption System (AES) for Encrypting File System (EFS) by being able to use AES on IPsec as well.

Windows Vista also uses Triple Data Encryption Standard TDES which makes cracking an incredible task not worth going through for now. Microsoft also put Secure Hashing Algorithm 2 SHA-2 for improved encryption capabilities.

For higher version of Windows Vista, it includes BitLocker technology which uses AES in 128-bit and 256-bit encryption for protecting computers after it is stolen.

Windows Vista as promised by Microsoft offers advanced and more sophisticated encryption techniques, and combining it with its PatchGuard technology only makes it even better.
