How To Guide: Disable or Enable Windows Vista User Access Control (UAC)

This is a how to guide for enabling or disabling User Access Control (UAC) in Windows Vista. Below are the steps:

Step 1: Go to Windows Vista Control Panel by clicking on the link found in the start menu.

Step 2: Click “User Accounts”.

Step 3: Click “User Accounts” again as it would show in the next screen.

Step 4: Click “Turn User Account Control on or off”.

Step 5: Check “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer” to enable and un-check to disable User Access Control, then click ok.
